Edward..

September 28, 2008

There were three things I was absolutely positive.

First, Edward is a vampire.
Second, there was a part of him – and I didn’t know how dominant that part might be – that thirsted for my blood.
And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him.

                         -Bella

I’ve actually finished Twilight last night. I really got hooked on this love against all odds and bought New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn immediately after.

I feel inlove with Edward Cullen. The beautiful marble face, icy cold lips and hands, pale skin, topaz eyes, white teeth and crooked smile and to top it all off a romantic male vampire. I felt like Bella everytime she hyperventilates and longed for Edward and when Edward gave up trying to stay away and wanted every part of her.

I’ll start on New Moon tonight. I seriously miss Edward.

Busy Me

September 28, 2008

I’m really behind on my posts. I’ve been preoccupied with our move. so many things to be done before I call it a night..I’ve so much posts and pictures but stashed in drafts. So many things happened in September that I would like to share if time permits. I’ve been busy with work and the handover. During Ramadan, working hours are shortened and I don’t have enought time on my hands to finish up and be online. I didn’t realized it’s going to be a lot of work.

Gosh, time flies so fast and i’ll be seeing the little girl once again. I’ll be home on the 24th of October so I might start doing a countdown.

Bitten by Twilight

September 28, 2008

I’ve been meaning to buy the Twilight book for who knows how long but no luck. It’s always out of stock at BORDERS and Hallmark. Whenever I reach a bookstore I always ask and was given an out stock reply or the last piece was sold few minutes before I came in. Accidentlly, as I was checking some stores online located at The Lifestyle wing of DIFC, they have Borders all this time. I immediately called and the SA reserved the last book they have for me. I went during my break as DIFC is just behind our building.

I’m so happy that my search for this book finally comes to an end. There is no problem in getting the rest of the saga as it is readily available. Now I’ve been wanting to read it asap and be part of Edward & Bella’s story.

That’s what they say in life.

“In life it’s not getting what you wanted, It’s wanting it after you get it.”

Finally….Handover

September 23, 2008

Finally, GM called me to his office. After 7 days of negotiations, he’s letting me go..Yipppeeeee…..

Now, we’ve moved on to the handover of responsibilities..He told me the news that they already have somebody for my replacement and the contract was signed..So, tuloy na tuloy na talaga..

He said I need to prepare myself for the handover, I thought kayang kaya naman yun but when he started enumerating all the things I need to prepare, dang! ang dami pala. I’m having thoughts na limited ang time ko to do this. Then he said that I’ll be here till 19 of Nov. My eyes got wide, I told him we have agreed on the 23rd of Oct. Hay discussions na naman….Then I said, “OK, I’ll stay until my handover is finished but provide me for my one way air ticket.” After a few phone calls, he said just finish it before 23rd of Oct. Grabee, ayaw pa ko gastusan till the last minute. Now I know sweet talk lang talaga lahat just to make me stay.

Eventhough my Ipod got lost today, it was compensated right away with the approval of my resignation. Finally..

I’m going to book and pay my ticket asap.

IPOD NANO…lost..gone…no more

September 23, 2008

WTF!!! WTF talaga!!! This is one of those time that I consider changing my blog’s name. Feeling ko kasi I can’t live the One Fine Day status ng blog. But hey, we always have tough times paano naman magiging exciting ang buhay diba if we can’t deal with change. Here’s the story kung paano ko nawala si Ipod.

I went to CBD to close my accounts. I grabbed my wallet, cellphone and Ipod. I head straight to the Customer Service Rep na daig pa ang may sakit kung kumilos sa bagal. She then asked me to prepare some slips and head on to the teller. I put down all my things beside me then took a number for the teller. My number was called naman just after I was able to sit then on to the teller. He asked me to go back to the Customer Service Rep for some instructions and I was staring at her ITouch the same time I realized where my IPod was. I asked the security if he found anything that I left behind same with the teller and the guy sitting beside me. I asked for their security cameras he said we have to ask permission and arrange it with the banks manager.

Hay naku…Nakakainis…8 months pa lng kami ng trusty Ipod ko. I considered it as my confidante and charger when I’m so drained after work. I drown myself to Hillsongs, Shawn Colvin, Lifehouse, Rnb’s, 747 by Kent, Eheads, Kyla, soundtracks and 8GB of my life that was stored.  The loss that I’m feeling right now nakakainis talaga. I spent so much time looking for those hard to find songs and videos and not to mention Isabel pictures. hhmmpp…

I sent a message to Mi Amour- “Nawala Ipod ko” and my cellphone rang. He asked so many questions….He knows how important my Ipod was to me. Arggh..I hate myself…

By the time I left the bank, I said a little loud but only myself can hear “Lord, whatever that guy needs, bahala na yung Ipod na magprovide sa kanya.” I did not look back I just walked till I reached the office again and called Mi Amour.

Now I realized closing an account cost me so much…

From now on, I will never leave with only my purse. I’ll make to stuff it all inside a bag..Now I need a BAG!!!!

My Birthday

September 16, 2008

This was a late birthday post.
Looking back, a Sunday, Sept. 14, the 258th day of 2008. There are 108 days left in the year.
You can view todays highlights in history here including famous brithdays. But for my own life’s history, here’s what happened.
1. Today I resigned from my job. I decided to resign on this day as I feel good vibes coming. It is my birthday and my lucky day. I handed the letter to my GM around 12 noon. We had a good talk and he approved but not the 30 days notice period. We’re still negotiating on that.
2. We had dinner at Aseana Restaurant in Raffles Hotel. It was a pleasant experience. A luxe dining feast. More on that later..
3. I received so many birthday greetings thru PM’s, Friendster comments, text messages and those who bothered to call until now for post bday greetings.
4. It made me feel special with that extra love and attention given by those who remembered and by Mi Amour and Isabel singing a birthday song.
Lil Bro asked me what I wanted so we can drop by Wafi Mall as it is adjacent to Raffles Hotel, they were surprised as I said I don’t have anything in mind …..yet.
As for my birthday wish, I have many. But what I am wishing for the longest time is finally coming thank God and it is much more bigger than a purse or that ring I saw at Samra.

Note: Noticed the spelling on the birthday cake…:D

6.1 Magnitude

September 10, 2008

OMG!! We just experienced an earthquake..6.1 Magnitude..the epicenter was Southern Iran but it was felt here in Dubai..I was on the phone talking with my collegue and I thought I was just having a headache that everything around me was spinning. I leaned at my desk and that’s when I realized it was an earthquake. My colleagues immediately went down. It was really scary. Some of them used the stairs while others waited to use the lift. We are in the 11th Floor. OMG!! Mi Amour immediately called me and asked me to go down right away. By the way, we work in the same building only he’s on the 14th Floor. Isn’t that sweet…By the time I got down the lobby, it was crowded with people. Some went home, some just waited outside the building. Unfortunately for us, we were asked to come back and wwwooooorrrrkkkkk!!! Did I just say 6.1 Magnitude??!!! I wonder how the  laborers felt atop the towers being built and not to mention Burj Dubai..??

A new day has come

September 1, 2008

Today is September 1st.

My birth month.

The beginning of “ber” months.

The beginning of the holy month Ramadan.

And this is my first post.

The other day we were able to watch “When Love Begins.” The only thing that i liked about it was the soundtrack-One Hello as sung by Gary V.

Somehow I can relate to the song but not in a romantic way. I haven’t fully blogged about it but before the year ends, we are moving. We will leave Dubai and start anew in Oman. This time our family will be complete as Isabel is joining us overseas. Mi Amour got an offer that we can’t resist. He already resigned from his job last month and we’re just waiting for the visas to be processed before I quit my job.

We don’t know what’s in store for us but it is really a good thing and a blessing to our family.

If you’re not afraid
Of what love brings
Then endings are beginnings
Of beautiful things
Its a chance you’ll take
It’s a chance you’ll win
If someone’s gonna find you
First you gotta let them in
Remember my friend
Goodbyes not the end
Its a circle you know
And it starts with one hello

I’m really excited though with the idea of packing, moving and buying new stuff but most important it is not just the two of us anymore, Isabel will be here for good.

Note: I mentioned “This is my first post” for Blogger. I have a new spot to document our move to Oman. Please do check it.
